Freshman volleyball player Cassy Hanneman is The Star You See this week. Hanneman took home All-Tournament honors in the Lady Beacons’ recent Plymouth State Days in of Campton Tournament.

Hanneman was the team’s table setter all tournament, as she racked up 91 assists. She was well-balanced as well, collecting 29 digs while registering eight aces and three blocks over three matches. The Lady Beacons were runners up, losing to Emerson College in the championship match.

Hanneman’s teammate, junior outside hitter Kate White, went out of her way recently to acknowledge Cassy’s vocal leadership on the court, explaining that “If we all got into the habit of being as vocal as [her], we will be unstoppable.

“Our skills, combined with that piece, will make our team amazing.”
