A Golden RumerRumer Willis, eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has been selected as 2008’s Miss Golden Globe. The important position’s primary task is to give Globe winners a helping hand off of stage. Previous Golden Globe girls include Lorraine Nicholson (daughter of Jack Nicholson and Rebecca Broussard), Dakota Johnson (Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson’s little girl), and Lily Costner (Kevin Costner’s daughter).

Matt MagnetPeople Magazine has named Matt Damon the Sexiest Man Alive for 2007. The Boston boy stole the award from last year’s winner, Ocean’s trilogy co-star George Clooney. “You gave an aging suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime. My 9-year-old stepdaughter now things I’m cool- -well, cooler,” the blushing Bourne actor told People.

Climate ConcertActors Tommy Lee Jones and Uma Thurman will be hosting the Nobel Peace Concert in honor of the U.N.’s climate change panel, and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. Scheduled for December 11, the day following the presentation of the Nobel Peace Prize in Olso, Norway, the concert will include performances from Melissa Etheridge, Alicia Keys and Annie Lennox. Katonah Compromising In Katonah, New York, neighbors of Martha Stewart showed opposition when the muffin-making mogul tried to turn the town’s name into a trademark for a line of products including paint and various hardware appliances. Instead, the townspeople agreed to share their city name with a line of Martha’s furniture in production. I’m so glad the townspeople have their priorities in order. [Unclear]

Mania for MileyHannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is left with thousands of unsatisfied fans unsatisfied after many of her concerts sold out in mere minutes. A woman in New Jersey has initiated a class-action lawsuit, claiming that many fans entered Miley’s fan club believing it would ensure them a chance at scoring better concert tickets. With Miley’s popularity, however, even scalpers can barely keep tickets, and fan club members were given no priority in ticket selection.
