Over 100 attendees crowded the UMass Boston Iftar banquet on October 1. The evening’s guest speaker is a dean at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, one of the world’s most prominent Islamic schools. For the month of Ramadan, September 12 to October 12, he is visiting with the Islamic Center of New England in Sharon. The dinner and talk were sponsored by the UMass Boston Muslim Student Association and Pakistani Student Association.
