Senior Courtney Haroules helped lead Beacons softball to their first Little East Conference win of the season last week with some late inning heroics.

With UMass Boston and Southern Maine knotted at one in the bottom of the ninth last Tuesday, Haroules hit a line drive, two-run home run over the left field fence to walk off for the win and give the Lady Beacons their first conference victory of the season.

Haroules has proved to be a powerful bat in the middle of the lineup, hitting three of the team’s four long balls on the season while getting on base at a .457 clip. Nine of Haroules’ 18 hits have gone for extra bases this season, giving her a robust slugging percentage of .589, good enough for sixth in the Little East.
