Mike Mattei is a junior third baseman who was a starter for the hugely successful Beacons last year. He is looking forward to another great season and if fall practice is any indicator, he will have one. Last year, Mike hit .302 and had 30 RBIS. What’s your favorite pre game ritual? Mike: I hug everyone on the team and listen to country music before each game. I hug everyone because before one game I tried and we won, so I did it again and then we started winning so everyone came looking for a hug and the country because it’s classic baseball music and that’s what I listen to. I also eat an Italian sub from Subway because it’s my favorite.
