It is always difficult to share your thoughts so soon after a devastating defeat but Matt was both generous with his words and forthcoming with how he felt.

“This program has been growing every year I’ve been here”, stated Atsoff. “We’re happy with how we performed but I don’t think the other guys—the underclassmen—are satisfied. There’s a winning attitude in our locker room, you know, and losing is just unacceptable.”

How bright is the team’s future?

As a team we’re doing big things. We’re getting better every year. For those guys (the underclassmen) it isn’t their last year so I can definitely see them getting better.

What is up next for you?

I’m going to try and play, maybe in the minors for a year. Then after that pursue a career in the field I’m getting my degree in (computer science). No immediate plans for spring break right now other than getting some much needed rest.
