LEC Rookie of the Week Accolade
After an incredible game on the mound, Beacon freshman JT Morin (Wilton, Connecticut) was selected as the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week.  Morin is a 6-2 left-handed pitcher for the University of Massachusetts Boston. Prior to coming to UMass Boston, Morin graduated from Wilton High School, class of 2015. In his time at Wilton, Morin was a three-time varsity baseball player and was named FCIAC Rookie of the Year and the FCIAC playoff MVP.
In Morin’s first two collegiate performances, Morin combined for six k-s (strikeouts) and was able to pitch a shutout in one of the matches, walking just one batter in the process. In his three appearances for the school, Morin has one win, zero losses, and one loss. Morin has a total ERA of 3.65 in his 12 innings pitched and a total of 16 k-s.
