UMB to Cease Paper Bills

The Bursar’s Office will switch to an electronic billing system on June 30.

On April 14, the University of Massachusetts Boston announced via email that starting on June 30, the Bursar’s Office will no longer send paper statements to current and active students of the university, thus moving forward with an electronic billing system that emails students once bills have been generated.
In the email to students from the Department of Student Affairs, mention was made of the available setting to allow access to the WISER system — ideally for parents, employers, spouses, or other people involved with the student’s education.
With the Integrated Sciences Complex receiving both a LEED Silver certification and the Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Leadership Award in 2015, UMass Boston is on the fast track to becoming a beacon of sustainability in the city of Boston.
The Campus Center, erected in 2004, was also designed with LEED criteria in mind. Features that help the conservation of energy like white roofing, sensor lighting, automatic shut-off sinks, toilets with water-saving technology, and recycling trash receptacles in the cafeteria all paved the way for paperless billing from the Bursar’s Office.
