Hello-I am writing because I have just recently read your review of the Plastic Heroes art exhibition up in December, and being one of the exhibiting artists, I just had to let you know of some very significant errors in your article covering the show. First, the credit posted on the first page of your online article lists Alik Arzoumanian as the artist of the featured piece. That painting was actually done by me, Stephanie Milewski. It also states within the article that Alik Arzoumanian is a “he” when actually she is very much a female. I also spoke with the reporter for quite a while, discussing the reasons behind the show and the title and I feel that I was represented quite poorly, sounding dumb and unsure of my reasons, when in actuality I was very wellspoken and comfortable with my answers. This is the second time I have responded to misinformation within gallery reviews that I have appeared in. The art shows at Umass Boston should be taken more serioulsy, with serious reporters who make sure that all of the information they are submitting is accurate and complete. Thank you for your time.
