Dorchester Board of Trade and UMB

The Dorchester Reporter’s website reports that the “Dorchester Board of Trade will hold a Business After Hours meeting on Thurs., Nov. 14, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Healey Library at UMass. Boston.””Any business in Dorchester may purchase a table @$25 to display their services or products, or $15 for a half table. For others attending, admission is $10 per person. Call the BOT answering machine @617-288-0654 to reserve a table. UMass. Chancellor Jo Ann Gora will welcome BOT members.”

Urban Environmental Issues Film Series

The Dorchester Reporter’s website also reports that the “Alliance of Neighborhoods for Greater Environmental Living Standards (ANGELS) will kick off a month-long film series in Codman Square.” The festival begins on Friday, November 1, and will start with “Bill Moyers’ Kids and Chemicals” at 7 p.m. in the Codman Square Health Center’s Great Hall.The film series will be a month long and interested parties can contact Bindu Panikkar, Coordinator for Community Health and Coordinator for the Environmental Council at the Codman Square Health Center, 637 Washington Street, Dorchester, MA 02124, 617-822-8329.
