Hello, my name is Chrissy Kim. I am a student and for a class assignment, I am required to evaluate your online journalism, the-mass-media.com. First, I’d like to say that your design is not horrible, but it’s not great either. Maybe it might be better if the web designer created something that was more appealing because it seems a little boring. The navigation is easy to find, which is good. I liked how you put your cover picture to be the first thing seen when somebody comes to the site. Looking around at all the different sections, I’ve noticed that a lot of the same people are writing many stories and a few names are only seen once. I think you should try to get more people to write because it’s not always good. But the quality of the stories is great. It’s not hard to understand and easy to read, and gives enough information the reader should know. When I read a controversial article, I noticed that it was unbiased and does not have the writer’s opinion. For extra features and other, I think it’s good that you put a calendar of school events that will soon be taking place. The message board is a good idea, but maybe because either there are not a lot of people coming to your site or nobody wants to start a discussion. Maybe one of the editors should write one to start one and it might help attract more people because they want to discuss and talk with others. I really liked visiting your site and evaluating it.
