I recently read in Umass Boston’s mass media that the university is having trouble attracting and retaining new freshmen. I’m not a business major but here’s a sugestion: the powers that be ought to make sure that on the first week of school, THE BOOKS ARE ALL IN THE BOOK STORE. I just had the experience with one class that no books showed up until THE THIRD WEEK OF SCHOOL. The profesor told me I could find one of the required books in any book store. I called eight book stores in the Boston area and noone had the #@$%^ book!!!! In fact I found out that the book is OUT OF PRINT. I was fortunate to find an old beat up copy in the boston public library. UMASS BOSTON: If you do not want to “lose” freshmen in the first two weeks of school, it would help FOR YOU’RE BOOK STORE TO GET ITS ACT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
