Sarah Shapiro (Women’s Cross Country)

Shapiro was named Little East Conference Player of the Week, for her third time this year, in the period of Oct 11-17. Shapiro dominated the Eastern Nazarene College Invitational by leaving a runner-up 1:42 behind and contributed to the team’s second victory of the season. The Weymouth native also finished second in the Rhode Island College Invitational and Tri-State Championships, and finished third in the Roger Williams College Invitational. Stephanie Adams (Women’s Volleyball)

Adams won her first LEC Offensive Player of the Week award in her three-year collegiate career. The junior middle hitter recorded 31 kills in four matches (16 games) with a .250 hitting percentage during the week of October 11-17. The Whitman native also executed 31 service aces to dominate the conference in service aces per game at 1.40, more than double-scoring the second place (0.65). Adams leads the Beacons with 115 digs and is second with 38 receipts, 95 kills and 12 blocks.
